On 12 October 2024, Cape Town hosted the 2024 Kyokushin Budokan Novice Tournament, bringing together fighters stepping into the ring for the first time. This event was a celebration of new beginnings, with novices from various dojos showcasing their skills and passion for Kyokushin Karate.

The day was filled with thrilling kumite matches, with each competitor embodying the values of perseverance, respect, and discipline. While for many it was their first tournament, every fighter walked away with invaluable experience and growth, ready to take on future challenges.
